ARE YOU A CANDIDATE FOR DAILY ASPIRIN?

This nine question self-assessment is designed to help you identify whether or not a daily 81mg dose of aspirin could be right for you to prevent a first heart attack or stroke. This self-assessment is for persons who have NOT been diagnosed with coronary heart disease, peripheral artery disease, heart attack or stroke.

 

Take the self-assessment and find out if aspirin may be right for you, then talk to your doctor or healthcare professional to learn more.

 

Note: Please talk to your doctor or healthcare professional if you have been diagnosed with coronary heart disease, peripheral artery disease, heart attack or stroke, or have undergone a procedure to open or bypass a blocked artery, to see if aspirin is right for you.

1 of 9: Have you ever been told you have coronary heart disease or peripheral artery disease?

2 of 9: Have you ever suffered a heart attack or stroke?

3 of 9: Have you ever undergone a past coronary (heart) angioplasty, stent placement, coronary artery bypass surgery, had a carotid artery endarterectomy, carotid stenting, or peripheral arterial disease surgery or stenting?

4 of 9: Are you taking a daily NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) such as ibuprofen, naproxen, ketoprofen, etc.?

5 of 9: Have you ever had a bleeding ulcer from the stomach or intestines?

  • warfarin or Coumadin®, Jantoven®
  • clopidogrel or Plavix®
  • aspirin/dipyridamole or Aggranox®

  • fondaparinux or Arixtra®
  • ibuprofen or Advil®, Motrin®, etc.
  • ketoprofen or Actron®, Orudis®, etc.
  • naproxen or Aleve®, Naprosyn®, etc.
  • prasugrel or Effient®
  • rivaroxaban or Xarelto®
  • ticagrelor or Brilinta®
  • vorapaxar or Zontivity®
